From the left exit of "JR Fukui Station," it's about a 2-minute walk to "Echizen Railway Fukui Station." Board the Katsuyama Eiheiji Line (heading towards Katsuyama).

There is one train per day for both outbound and return trips. On the day of your ride, check in at the station window and collect your Dinosaur Train ticket at least 15 minutes before departure.

※ Those with the Have Fun In Fukui Pass can enjoy a free unlimited ride ticket for the Echizen Railway but still need to reserve online.

The tickets are shaped like dinosaur eggs, so cute!

The "Dinosaur Train" has two themed carriages. The "Jurassic Zone" carriage features a jungle style with dinosaur footprints on the floor. Inside, you'll find realistic 3D dinosaur heads, triceratops, and baby dinosaurs, allowing you to closely observe the texture of their skin and teeth—an impressive and powerful experience.

The carriage is decorated with various realistic fossil designs, and the floor features images of partially unearthed dinosaur fossils. Riding in it makes you feel like an archaeologist at an actual excavation site.

The journey to the Dinosaur Museum takes about an hour. Onboard, you'll be accompanied by a conductor dressed as an explorer, who will share fun dinosaur facts and engage with passengers through quizzes and interactive activities.

Riding the Dinosaur Train, you'll also receive a small dinosaur-themed gift.

The Dinosaur Train operates only on weekends and national holidays, with one outbound and one return trip per day.

※ Non-operating days: Winter season (December 1, 2024 ~ March 14, 2025), Dinosaur Museum closure days, and the Mikuni Fireworks Festival.

Upon arriving at Katsuyama Station, walk to the bus stop and take shuttle bus to the Dinosaur Museum .(look for the bus stop with a dinosaur head fossil icon) .

The bus exterior also features dinosaur designs, which will delight dinosaur enthusiasts.
