🦖DINO Dinosaur Park Yanbaru Subtropical Forest

This time, we visited the DINO Dinosaur Park Yanbaru Subtropical Forest, located in the northern part of Nago City, just a 10-minute drive from central Nago.

To enter the park, you must first pass through the massive mouth of a dinosaur before reaching the ticket counter.

Near the ticket counter, a hatching dinosaur is waiting to greet you.

If you have a "Have Fun In Okinawa Pass," just show the QR code on your phone to the staff at the counter to get your admission ticket.

The park features up to 80 dinosaurs of various sizes hidden within the subtropical forest. As you walk, you'll hear dinosaur roars, and some of them even move, making you feel like you're in Jurassic Park.

Explore the forest and discover different dinosaurs on your adventure. There are surprises around every corner, and you can even snap a photo with the dinosaurs along the way.

Discover a dinosaur mom with her newly hatched babies.

Even the "Caution: Slippery" signs feature dinosaur illustrations.

The walls here are shaped like the side profile of a dinosaur, complete with gigantic eyes.

Finally, you'll arrive at the gift shop, which has a jungle and dinosaur theme inside and out. The shop offers a wide variety of items, including dinosaur models, candies, picture books, ties, and more.

In one corner of the shop, a giant dinosaur looks like it's crashing into the store, with claw marks on the walls. It has knocked over boxes and chairs, making the scene feel incredibly realistic.

🚂Neo Park Okinawa Natural Flora and Fauna Park

Get up close and personal with tropical plants and animals!

Just a 10-minute drive from Nago City, this park is designed around the theme of coexistence with nature.

Spanning about 22 hectares, it recreates tropical environments and houses rare and precious flora and fauna.

The park is divided into three sections: "Lake Tot" representing Africa, "Amazon Jungle" for South America, and "Oceania's Birds and Flowers" for Australia.

Take a leisurely tour of the park on a vintage train.
This train is a 3/4 scale replica of the Okinawa Light Railway, which was destroyed during the war, carefully recreated based on historical records.
Here, you can see Grey Crowned Cranes with crown-like ornaments on their heads, adorable sand cats, peacocks, alpacas, colorful macaws, squirrel monkeys, and more.

A must-see in the park is the "Bird Show," where trainers showcase trained falcons, owls, and beautiful parrots flying through the air.
You can observe these birds of prey up close and even have the chance to let them perch on your hand.
The show is held daily at 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM, but note that it may be canceled in bad weather.
After the exciting "Bird Show," follow along to meet the park's super popular and adorable "Himalayan Red Pandas."
There are two red pandas: the food-loving Chal and the shy Sakura.
Here, you can buy a feeding ticket, and the staff will give you a long stick. Attach the food stick to the end, and you can start feeding the red pandas. Watching the fluffy red pandas reach out for food is truly adorable.
