Illuminated Fantasy Train
Around 1,000 lights illuminate the glowing autumn leaves and mystical mountains along the route, with the river shimmering below to create a truly magical, dreamlike scene. Light displays are also set up at several spots along the track, allowing passengers to experience an enchanting, limited-time nighttime landscape completely different from the daytime view.

Brand-new train cars debuting in 2027!
To highlight the scenic views, the interior pillars and window frames feature a sleek black tone, enhancing the sense of immersion in the passing landscape. Seat spacing and aisle width have been expanded for a more comfortable ride, while glass ceilings and side panels create a bright, open atmosphere inside the train.
A special carriage inspired by Japan’s traditional engawa seating lets passengers easily face the windows or garden-style areas, perfect for chatting or soaking in the view.
The new logo keeps the classic emblem design but adds motifs of autumn leaves, cherry blossoms, clear streams, heritage tunnels, and bamboo groves, capturing the full charm of the route.
The new train cars are scheduled to launch in spring 2027
(※the current trains will retire by the end of 2026).
