Introduction｜Asahiyama Zoo

Asahiyama Zoo is the northernmost zoo in Japan and one of the must-visit attractions in Asahikawa. The zoo with “action display” creates a natural environment similar to animals’ habitat, and observes them up close from different angles through special exhibition areas. In the Ocean Way area, you can see seals swimming around. The famous event in the park is the “Penguin Walk”, allowing you to see the cute penguins up close.
