【Origami Experience】

Origami is a traditional Japanese craft that transforms a simple sheet of paper into beautiful creations.

This experience begins with a fun and easy warm-up—folding cute animal shapes. You will then learn the story behind the Thousand Paper Cranes, and create your own paper crane as a symbol of peace.

Afterward, enjoy a guided walk through the streets of Hiroshima, where you’ll hear local stories and history as you make your way to the Children’s Peace Monument. There, you will offer your handmade paper crane as a wish for peace.

Through this experience, you’ll not only enjoy the art of origami but also gain a deeper understanding of Hiroshima’s history, message of peace, and cultural charm.

The full tour, including the guided walk, lasts approximately 90 minutes, offering a meaningful encounter with the spirit of Hiroshima and a memorable taste of Japanese culture.

【Calligraphy Experience】

Japanese calligraphy, or shodō, is a traditional art form that expresses words and emotions through the brush and ink.

In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of calligraphy and use a brush and ink to write your name, creating a personalized souvenir.

Hiroshima is known as a historic production center for calligraphy brushes. The brushes used in this class are from Kumano Town, a region celebrated for its fine craftsmanship.

At the end of the session, you’ll write your name in kanji and turn it into a unique keepsake such as a T-shirt, luggage strap, or pouch.

This experience is perfect for couples, families, or solo travelers alike.

The total duration is approximately 90 minutes, and the venue is within walking distance of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
