Taiji is known as the “Whale Town,” with a 400-year history of whaling. The local Whale Museum is a unique facility rarely seen elsewhere in Japan, dedicated to introducing and preserving whale-related knowledge. Combining elements of both a museum and an aquarium, it showcases the culture, history, and ecological aspects of whaling. Visitors can also enjoy whale performances and interactive activities, offering an engaging, multi-sensory journey into the world of whales.

2. The following dates are not allowed to use “Have Fun in Wakayama”:

3. Due to weather conditions or the health status of the animals, performances, experiences, or exhibits may be canceled. We appreciate your understanding. Please note that no refunds will be provided even if a performance, experience, or exhibit is canceled.
