Introduction |Ikedaya Yasubei Shoten
About Ikedaya Yasubei Shoten
Ikedaya Yasubei Shoten was established in 1936 (Showa 11) when the first-generation owner, Ikeda Minoru, opened a wholesale store for Chinese and Japanese medicinal herbs at the current location.
Shortly after World War II, the store began manufacturing and selling “Hangontan,” a popular traditional remedy from the Edo period.
To this day, the store remains focused on traditional Japanese medicines and continues to research both Japanese and Chinese herbal medicine.
The dyed Kakusan emblem represents the three family principles: Trust, Tradition, and Dedication.
