DINO Dinosaur Park Yanbaru Subtropical Forest
This time, we visited the DINO Dinosaur Park Yanbaru Subtropical Forest, located in the northern part of Nago City, just a 10-minute drive from central Nago.
To enter the park, you must first pass through the massive mouth of a dinosaur before reaching the ticket counter.
Near the ticket counter, a hatching dinosaur is waiting to greet you.
If you have a “Have Fun In Okinawa Pass,” just show the QR code on your phone to the staff at the counter to get your admission ticket.
Dinosaur forest
The park features up to 80 dinosaurs of various sizes hidden within the subtropical forest. As you walk, you’ll hear dinosaur roars, and some of them even move, making you feel like you’re in Jurassic Park.
Explore the forest and discover different dinosaurs on your adventure. There are surprises around every corner, and you can even snap a photo with the dinosaurs along the way.

Even the “Caution: Slippery” signs feature dinosaur illustrations.
The walls here are shaped like the side profile of a dinosaur, complete with gigantic eyes.
Finally, you’ll arrive at the gift shop, which has a jungle and dinosaur theme inside and out. The shop offers a wide variety of items, including dinosaur models, candies, picture books, ties, and more.
In one corner of the shop, a giant dinosaur looks like it’s crashing into the store, with claw marks on the walls. It has knocked over boxes and chairs, making the scene feel incredibly realistic.

The Original Beniimo Tart features locally grown purple sweet potatoes in a baked tart crust, creating a perfect combination that brings out the natural sweetness of the potatoes. All products are free from preservatives and artificial colors.
Seasonal special flavors of the Beniimo Tart are available throughout the year. Besides the famous Beniimo Tart, the store also offers a range of other purple sweet potato treats, including cookies, cakes, ice cream, and buns.

Nago Pineapple Park
After parking in the parking lot, walk to the entrance of the park.
First, go to the ticket counter to purchase your tickets, which are brightly colored in pineapple yellow.

Ride a Pineapple Train
You can choose to ride the adorable self-driving Pineapple Train to explore the jungle and pineapple fields.
The park features over 120 varieties of pineapples, both edible and ornamental.
From the aerial walkway, you can look down and see the cute yellow Pineapple Train weaving through the lush green forest.
After getting off the train, you can wander through the indoor garden and aerial walkway, getting up close to giant tropical plants and stunning landscaping.
The park also has a specially designed Dinosaur Adventure Zone, featuring various dinosaur displays.
Even the no-smoking signs feature dinosaur illustrations.
Gift shop and café
After exploring the park, don’t forget to visit the gift shop and café. You’ll find all kinds of pineapple-themed souvenirs, from food and clothing to accessories and decorations!
The shop offers a wide variety of pineapple products for you to browse at your leisure.
The café’s must-try dessert is the popular Pineapple Roll, featuring a crispy layered crust with a sweet and tangy pineapple filling.
You can also enjoy pineapple pie, pineapple iced tea, and coconut pineapple smoothies for a refreshing taste of pineapple.
Pineapple winery
After leaving the café, turn right and head to Japan’s first pineapple winery.
The winery features stylish, pineapple-themed architecture with high ceilings, creating an upscale atmosphere.。
The counter offers tastings of various house-made wines.
The pineapple distillery’s exterior features a pineapple theme, with a giant champagne-gold pineapple. Through the transparent glass behind it, you can see the large distillation equipment.

Neo Park Okinawa Natural Flora and Fauna Park
Get up close and personal with tropical plants and animals!
Just a 10-minute drive from Nago City, this park is designed around the theme of coexistence with nature.
Use the Have Fun In Okinawa Pass,Present the QR code to the staff at the counter for scanning to redeem your admission ticket and Okinawa Yui Rail pass.
Spanning about 22 hectares, it recreates tropical environments and houses rare and precious flora and fauna.
The park is divided into three sections: “Lake Tot” representing Africa, “Amazon Jungle” for South America, and “Oceania’s Birds and Flowers” for Australia.
Take a leisurely tour of the park on a vintage train.
This train is a 3/4 scale replica of the Okinawa Light Railway, which was destroyed during the war, carefully recreated based on historical records.
Here, you can see Grey Crowned Cranes with crown-like ornaments on their heads, adorable sand cats, peacocks, alpacas, colorful macaws, squirrel monkeys, and more.
Bird Show
A must-see in the park is the “Bird Show,” where trainers showcase trained falcons, owls, and beautiful parrots flying through the air.
You can observe these birds of prey up close and even have the chance to let them perch on your hand.
The show is held daily at 11:00 AM and 2:30 PM, but note that it may be canceled in bad weather.
Himalayan Red Pandas
After the exciting “Bird Show,” follow along to meet the park’s super popular and adorable “Himalayan Red Pandas.”
There are two red pandas: the food-loving Chal and the shy Sakura.
Here, you can buy a feeding ticket, and the staff will give you a long stick. Attach the food stick to the end, and you can start feeding the red pandas. Watching the fluffy red pandas reach out for food is truly adorable.
