Yumeshima, an artificial island in Osaka’s Konohana Ward.

As there are no parking lots around Yumeshima, taking public transportation such as trains or buses is recommended.

How to Get There

①Train:

Take Osaka Metro to Yumeshima Station (direct access).

②Airport Limousine Bus: Arrive at Yumeshima Transit Hub, then walk.

③Shuttle Bus from JR Sakurajima Station:

From Osaka Station, take the Osaka Loop Line to Nishikujo Station, then transfer to the JR Yumesaki Line and get off at Sakurajima Station.

Head toward the bus stop, and you can hop on the shuttle bus that goes directly to the venue—super convenient!

Steps for Purchasing Ticket and Reservation

All tickets are electronic.Before Purchasing Tickets, you’ll need to register or log in with an Expo ID on the official Expo website before purchasing tickets.After registration, you can select your visit date and reserve the pavilions you want to see. Just bring your e-ticket on the day of the event.

1. Go to the official Expo website and register/log in with your Expo ID

2. Purchase your e-ticket (via the official website or online platforms like Klook, etc.)

3. Reserve your visit date and time (online reservation required)

4. Make reservations for specific pavilions and events

Myaku-Myaku

“MYAKU-MYAKU” symbolizes the Expo theme “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.”A mysterious being made of water and cells, its name comes from the Japanese word “myaku” (meaning veins or continuity),representing the ongoing stream of life, wisdom, technology, and culture passed to the future.

 

It also collaborates with popular characters like Sanrio, Kumamon, Hikonyan (Shiga), and the ICOCA platypus. Personally, we think the Sanrio collab is the cutest!

 Highlight 1: World’s Largest Wooden Circular Walkway – “The Grand Roof”

Standing 12 meters tall (20m at its highest), with a diameter of 615 meters, the Grand Roof represents unity in diversity.
Blending traditional Japanese shrine techniques with modern construction, it creates a smooth flow of space while offering shelter from sun and rain. 

Highlight 2: EXPO Dome – “Matsuri”

Located on the west side of the Grand Roof, the Matsuri dome can hold up to 16,000 people. Various shows and festivals will be held here to create a festive Expo vibe

5 Major Pavilion Categories

📌People’s Living Pavilion

Featuring 13 pavilions, this zone focuses on future tech, society, environment, and humanity—envisioning life in the years ahead.

GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION

Inspired by a spaceport, this pavilion showcases the Gundam universe, including a 17-meter-tall Gundam statue outside, raising its right hand as a symbol of humanity’s determination to explore space and the future together. 

TECH WORLD

Did you know that Taiwan is also participating in Expo 2025 Osaka? The pavilion’s exterior is inspired by Taiwan’s mountain landscapes and is divided into three main zones: Life, Nature, Future. Whether it’s the impressive chip wall or interactive experiences through light, scent, and sound, the pavilion showcases the beauty of Taiwan in creative and immersive ways for the world to discover.

📌Future Society Showcase Pavilion

Consisting of six pavilions, this zone explores possibilities in technology, virtual reality, environment, digital, and art.

Flying Cars

The flying car project is definitely something you don’t want to miss!

160 countries, regions, and international organizations will participate, showcasing innovation, lifestyles, and culture.

Austria

Known for classical music, Austria’s theme is “Composing the Future.” Its spiral design represents sheet music, and inside you’ll find diverse exhibits, technology, and local treats.

Spain

Made from recycled materials, this pavilion blends sea and sun elements. The Kuroshio Current theme highlights the long-standing ties between Japan and Spain. It features immersive exhibits on blue economy and climate action.

Belgium

Theme: Water. The three-level pavilion showcases content via solid, liquid, and gas states, plus immersive experiences and innovations in life science and health. Don’t miss the rooftop restaurant and bar with great views and Belgian food.

China

Its scroll-inspired facade reflects traditional calligraphy. The theme is “Envisioning a Revitalized Future Society.” The interior highlights harmony with nature and diverse city exhibits representing both tradition and innovation.

Switzerland

Aiming to be the Expo’s most eco-friendly pavilion, its spherical, lightweight design will be repurposed into furniture after the event. The five spheres represent Swiss culture, sustainability, joy, and even include a café. 

📌Domestic Pavilions

These include the Japan Pavilion, Women’s Pavilion, Osaka Health Pavilion, and the Kansai Pavilion, focusing on themes like life, health, and women’s perspectives.

Kansai Pavilion

Divided into nine prefecture zones—Shiga, Kyoto, Hyogo, Nara, Wakayama, Tottori, Tokushima, Fukui, and Mie—plus a central Kansai Plaza.
The radial layout offers smooth navigation and showcases the region’s rich history, culture, tourism, and charm. 

📌Signature Pavilions

Eight signature themes curated by experts across various fields, all revolving around the concept of “life.”

Life Playground: Jellyfish Pavilion

Inspired by jellyfish, musician Sachiko Nakajima created this space to symbolize creativity and life itself.
It features STEAM-related exhibits and interactive learning, promoting global collaboration through creativity.

Future Life Zone – Kura Sushi

Its walls will be made from 330,000 discarded shells. Inside, over 100 meters of conveyor belt, a new look for Kura’s mascot, and 50 kinds of international dishes await!

Fujiya will launch eco-friendly desserts under the theme “Shortcakes of the Future.” One highlight: a one-hand strawberry cake made using “imperfect” strawberries that would otherwise go to waste—sustainability meets sweetness!
