World’s First! The Pokémon Park Opening in Tokyo in 2026 ! Highlights, Ticket Info & More

More than 600 Pokémon will be featured in the park, with entry lotteries starting from November 21, 2025!

The park is set to grandly open on February 5, 2026, at Yomiuriland, featuring immersive attractions that let trainers step directly into the world of Pokémon. Here’s a sneak peek at the park’s highlights, access information, and ticket prices!

PokéPark KANTO」covering approximately 2.6 hectares, the park is divided into three main areas: PokéPark Entrance Plaza, Pokémon Forest, and Sedge Town. It features nature trails, interactive shows, attractions, and exclusive shops.

How to get to PokéPark KANTO?

Pokémon Park is located within Yomiuriland in Tokyo. It takes about 25 minutes from Shinjuku, 75 minutes from Haneda Airport, and 120 minutes from Narita Airport to reach Keio Yomiuriland Station. From there, you can take the Sky Shuttle aerial tram for about 5–10 minutes to arrive at the park.

Ticket Types and Pricing Information

Pokémon Park currently offers two types of tickets: Ace Trainer’s Pass (from approximately ¥14,000 for adults) and the Trainer’s Pass(from approximately ¥7,900 for adults). Ticket prices vary depending on the date of visit, and both passes grant entry to Yomiuriland:

  • Ace Trainer’s Pass:

Allows entry to Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town at any time, with re-entry permitted. Ticket holders can also attend a special welcome event, enjoy reserved seating for Sedge Town performances, receive exclusive merchandise, and get priority access to one attraction.

  • Trainer’s Pass:

Allows entry to Pokémon Forest within a designated time (no re-entry), while Sedge Town can be visited at any time with re-entry permitted. For Sedge Town performances, a limited-access ticket must be obtained on-site, and attraction rides require purchasing additional tickets at the ticket counter.

  • Sedge Town Pass (Coming Summer 2026):

Cannot access Pokémon Forest, but entry to Sedge Town is allowed during the designated time and can be re-entered. To attend stage shows or enjoy attractions, visitors must still obtain a numbered ticket on-site and request a limited-access ticket. As this pass is scheduled for release in summer 2026, interested guests should stay updated with official announcements.

 

Regarding ticket purchases, from 18:00 JST on November 21, 2025, residents in Japan with a Japanese phone number can participate in a lottery system. Registration as a PokéPark KANTO member is required beforehand. The detailed schedule is as follows:

For foreign visitors, tickets are sold as general admission. After entering the ticket purchase page, select the date, ticket type, and quantity, then proceed to the payment page.
(Note: For those purchasing the Ace Trainer’s Pass, after selecting the ticket type, you will also need to choose a time slot for entry to the Sedge Town Stadium stage show.)

How to Request a Limited-Access Ticket?

Some areas within the park require a limited-access ticket to enter. After passing through the gates of Yomiuriland, open the official PokéPark KANTO app to apply for a limited-access ticket. You can check here to see which attractions require a limited-access ticket.

※Depending on daily operations and crowd conditions, visitors without a limited-access ticket may be allowed entry.

PokéPark Entrance Plaza

At the park’s entrance, you’ll be greeted by adorable Pokémon like Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle. There’s also a Pokémon Daisuki Shop offering a variety of exclusive merchandise and souvenirs! Trainers begin their adventure here, soaking in the lively and welcoming atmosphere!

  • The Pokémon Research Lab serves as the entrance to Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town.
    Entry requires presenting the designated type of ticket.
  • Entry to the Pokémon Fan Shop requires a prior reservation with an issued limited-access ticket.

Pokémon Forest

Pokémon Forest is a roughly 500-meter-long green trail, featuring rolling paths, grassy areas, tunnels, and winding mountain roads.
Trainers can explore the diverse terrain, carefully spotting Pokémon hidden among the plants and soil, and catch glimpses of them along the way~

  • Guests holding a Trainer’s Pass (valid for entry within the designated time) or an Ace Trainer’s Pass are allowed to enter Pokémon Forest.
  • For safety reasons, children under five, those unable to climb 110 steps, or anyone feeling unwell will not be allowed to enter.

Sedge Town

Sedge Town is home to the Pokémon Trainers’ Market, Pokémon Center, Poké Mart, and Sedge Gym. The town hosts events like a Pokémon Welcome Gathering and the “Pika Vee Bubble Parade,” allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the charming atmosphere where the city and Pokémon come alive together.

Also, don’t miss the Pika Pika Paradise and Vee Vee Voyage attractions, where you can enjoy fun moments with over 30 Pikachu and Eevee!

Sedge Gym is another must-see highlight. Daily stage shows are held here, including the “Pika Pika Sparks!” performance, where you can enjoy an exciting and joyful experience with Pokémon amid dazzling lights and sounds!

  • Entry to the Sedge Gym requires a prior reservation with an issued limited-access ticket.

Pokémon Center & Poké Mart

The red building is the Pokémon Center, where you’ll be greeted by the adorable Chansey! The blue building is the Poké Mart, where trainers can take a break and enjoy exclusive drinks~

Meet-and-Greets

At the “Pokémon Playhouse,” different Pokémon appear daily, ready to interact with everyone! The currently announced characters include Clefairy, Vulpix, Psyduck, Growlithe, Slowpoke, Gengar, Lapras, and Dragonite. Trainers, get ready for an up-close and personal meet-and-greet with your favorite Pokémon!

In the “Pika Vee Playroom,” Pikachu and Eevee will wear exclusive outfits available only here, warmly welcoming everyone at Sedge Condominiums.
You can interact and take photos with them, and the pictures will come with a special themed paper frame, turning your precious memories into the cutest keepsake!

  • Only holders of an Ace Trainer’s Pass are allowed to enter Sedge Condominiums.

Merchandise

The park will also offer a variety of merchandise, including T-shirts, themed headbands, plush hats, drinks, and more.
