Built in the early Edo period, this historic merchant residence boasts a 400-year history and is the largest and oldest of its kind still standing. Once used by official merchants of the Hagi Domain to host important guests, the estate features both a traditional kare-sansui (dry landscape) garden and a modern Japanese-style garden. Inside, visitors can view a collection of artworks, everyday utensils, and furnishings from the past. Parts of the residence have been designated as Important Cultural Properties of Japan.

Iwakura Cave, a natural monument of Okayama Prefecture, is a limestone cave formed over time by rainwater erosion, stretching approximately 1,200 meters in length.
