Iwakura Cave, a natural monument of Okayama Prefecture, is a limestone cave formed over time by rainwater erosion, stretching approximately 1,200 meters in length. Designated as part of the Takahashi River Upper Reach Prefectural Natural Park, the cave entrance is located on a 240-meter-high vertical cliff along the Takahashi River. Inside the cave, visitors can marvel at a variety of fascinating stalactites and stalagmites, such as icicle-shaped formations and stone pillars, which, when illuminated, resemble curtains of stone. The cave features about 30 unique rock formations named "Silver Waterfall," "Water Garment," and "Jellyfish Stone," among others. The Ichijodani Asakura Family Site Museum preserve an entire castle town once ruled by a Sengoku-period warlord.
