Umi Shrine: Cut bad ties before finding good ones

This shrine enshrines a spirit that cuts off bad relationships. The ritual is unique. Write the ties you want to cut or form on a wooden plaque, pray, then snap the plaque in half, blow on it, place it into the offering box, and walk clockwise around the main hall to complete the ritual.

Inasa Beach: A famous spiritual spot for sacred sand

Inasa Beach is a well-known spiritual power spot and a popular place for sacred sand rituals. The sand brought in by the waves is believed to carry good luck, attracting many visitors to experience it.

Lunch: Izumo soba, one of Japan’s top three soba noodles!

Unlike regular soba, Izumo soba is served in stacked red lacquer bowls called “warigo.” Each layer can be customized with toppings. After finishing one layer, pour the remaining sauce into the next, deepening the flavor as you go.

Izumo Taisha: The ultimate matchmaking shrine

Izumo Taisha Soga Shrine “Sacred Sand Ritual”

First, pray at the main hall of Izumo Taisha, then at Soga Shrine (both with two bows, four claps, and one bow). Pour out your collected sand into the box, then take the same amount of sacred sand . It’s believed to purify, ward off evil, and bring peace to your home.
